The APC National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Basiru, shared the timetable via his verified X (formerly Twitter) account on Saturday.

According to the schedule signed by Basiru, these activities are being conducted in accordance with Articles 11 and 17 of the APC Constitution and are intended to elect party officials at all levels.

The timeline indicates that the process will commence with the start of membership e-registration on Monday, 1 December 2025, running through to 30 January 2026.

Following this, notices of congresses will be issued to state and Federal Capital Territory chapters on 2 February 2026.

As per the schedule, the purchase and submission of forms for ward and local government area congresses are set to take place between 4 and 9 February 2026.

The establishment of screening committees for ward and local government area positions will occur on 10 February, with the screening of candidates taking place from 11 to 13 February.

Ward congresses are scheduled for Wednesday, 18 February 2026, with appeals arising from these congresses to be addressed on 19 February. Local government area congresses, which include the election of three delegates—one of whom must be female—to the national convention, will take place on 20 February, with appeals to be heard on 21 February.

At the state level, the purchase of forms for state executive positions will begin earlier, from 23 to 27 February 2025. Screening and appeals for state executives are planned for late February and early March 2026, with state congresses set for Saturday, 7 March 2026.

The timetable indicates that appeals from state congresses will be considered between 9 and 11 March, after which the party will progress to the zonal level. The purchase and submission of forms for zonal congresses and the national convention are scheduled for 12 to 17 March 2026.

According to the schedule, zonal congresses will be inaugurated on 18 March, followed by the screening of aspirants on 19 and 20 March.

Zonal congresses across the six geopolitical zones are set to occur on Saturday, 21 March 2026. The designated zonal locations are Ibadan for the South West, Enugu for the South East, Rivers/Cross River for the South South, Kaduna for the North West, Gombe/Bauchi for the North East, and Nasarawa for the North Central. Appeals arising from the zonal congresses are to be heard on 23 March.

The timetable indicates that the APC National Convention is slated to take place from Wednesday, 25 March, to Saturday, 28 March 2026.
