The appointment was announced in a statement released by the Secretary to the State Government, Enobong Uwah, in Uyo, and was made available to journalists on Monday.

In a separate development, the governor has dismissed two of his aides, effective immediately.

The aides affected by this decision are Joseph Ikpak, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Support Services, and Felix Ekuri, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Neighbourhood Watch.

Mr Uwah disclosed the termination of the aides in another statement, explaining that this action is part of the administration’s restructuring and realignment efforts aimed at ensuring the success of the Renewed Hope and Arise Agenda of the state government.
