During the commissioning ceremony, Senator Yari commended Governor Ahmed Aliyu for his foresight and described him as a loyal mentee of Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko. Yari expressed his satisfaction with the rapid infrastructural development taking place in Sokoto under the leadership of Governor Aliyu, attributing this progress to the guidance of his political mentor, Senator Wamakko. He urged the governor to maintain this momentum.

Reflecting on his tenure as Governor of Zamfara State, Yari remarked that he gained the trust and confidence of the people by delivering multiple dividends of democracy across the state’s various communities.

In his address, Governor Ahmed Aliyu stated that the road projects signify a significant milestone in their shared journey towards the progress and development of Sokoto State. He noted, “This project is a clear testament to our administration’s unwavering commitment to our development agenda, focusing on the economy, infrastructure, and quality of life.”

Governor Aliyu emphasized that this moment transcends the physical infrastructure, representing the fulfilment of a promise to the people. “We are dedicated to building a Sokoto State where infrastructure serves the community, connects people, and unlocks economic potential,” he assured attendees.

The governor expressed gratitude to the residents of Mabera for their patience and cooperation during the construction phase, stating that the temporary inconvenience would lead to long-term benefits. He commended the construction company for delivering a project that adhered to technical specifications and quality standards.

“The significance of this project goes beyond its physical structure. This newly commissioned road network will alleviate long-standing transportation challenges faced by commuters and residents, stimulate economic activities by reducing travel times, lower vehicle operating costs, and facilitate the movement of goods and services in and out of Mabera. It will enhance connectivity within our state and support regional trade and integration,” Governor Aliyu concluded.
