The fellowship is designed to strengthen solutions-focused reporting on gender issues across Africa.

“You have triumphed in a highly competitive process, and your story ideas are both illuminating and inspiring,” said Tina Rosenberg, co-founder of the Solutions Journalism Network.

“I look forward to seeing how your reporting will advance gender equity across Africa, just as solutions journalism has already driven real-world change in other regions.”

Also speaking on the fellowship, Seun Durojaiye, Managing Editor and Founder of Social Voices, said: “We have designed a fellowship for exceptional storytellers to document and elevate the strategies, innovations, and actions that are advancing gender equity across Africa.

“This initiative aligns with our mission to nurture a narrative ecosystem that shapes constructive debates around gender issues, influence policy, and inspire lasting change.”

The selected fellows are: Lucrece Armande(Cameroon), Yecenu Sasetu, Yahuza Bawage, Sakina Ahmed, Ayo Ladipo, Olayide Soaga, Sola Abe, Audrey Galawu (Zimbabwe), Oge Ude, Racheal Abujah, and Timkat Nanbol Victor.

Selected from a competitive pool of over 80 applicants across four countries, the 11 exceptional fellows will receive mentorship, training, and editorial support to produce in-depth reporting.
