In Kogi State, authorities seized 5,000 tramadol capsules, 400 ampoules of pentazocine injection, and 200 ampoules of diazepam injection from a suspect arrested at Idah Waterside. The individual had crossed the River Niger from Onitsha, Anambra State, on August 20.

Additionally, in Kano State, two suspects, aged 25 and 24, were detained at Zangon Dakata Ungogo on August 19 with 5,850 pregabalin capsules. Another suspect, currently at large, had 452,070 opioid pills discovered at his residence in Rangaza, Ungogo.

Babafemi further reported the apprehension of a 35-year-old man in Tashan Rami, who was found with 140 litres of codeine syrup. On August 23, another suspect, aged 29, was caught along the Zaria-Kano Road with 7,000 tramadol capsules.

In a separate series of operations in Kwara State, a total of 2,289.49 kilograms of skunk, a cannabis strain, was intercepted. On August 20, 1,232.86 kg was seized from a Mitsubishi Canter truck, resulting in the arrest of one suspect. Another 328.42 kg was confiscated from a 47-year-old suspect in a Mercedes Benz truck on the same day and location. The following day, NDLEA operatives recovered an additional 728.21 kg of skunk in another Mitsubishi Canter at Ajase-Ipo junction, leading to the arrest of two suspects aged 44 and 45. Furthermore, two more suspects, aged 50 and 54, were detained in Alafia Quarters, Ikere-Ekiti, Ekiti State, in connection with the seizure of 96 kilograms of skunk.
