The Founder and Chairman, Board of Trustees, ASSATAHIR International Foundation, (AIF) Aliyu Sidi Attahiru has been appointed Nigeria’s North West Zonal Coordinator of
the Institute for Crisis Resolution, Peacebuilding and Conciliation (ICRPC), Prof. Yahaya Tanko Baba confirmed.
Prof. Yahaya Tanko who is the
Executive Secretary of AIF made this disclosure in a signed congratulatory message where he affirmed that the appointment was a well deserved one.
“This recent recognition from a globally renowned peacebuilding institute is an acknowledgment of your profound contributions to peacebuilding and conflict resolution, particularly in Northern Nigeria.
“The recognition is undoubtedly the product of your visionary leadership, compasion, empathy and commitment to humanitarian courses and consensus building, which have greatly impacted communities across the landscape of Northern Nigeria”, Prof Tanko Baba enthused.
While attributing the
significant roles Sidi Attahiru played in ensuring signing of Peace Accord in the 2019 and 2021 Gubernatorial and local government elections in Sokoto as enviably instrumental to the recognition, Prof. Baba said, “your participation in these high level peace processes justify your deep concern and commitment to fostering dialogue, unity, and stability”.
Continuing, Prof Tanko Baba said, “This recent appointment and recognition is not only a personal achievement but also a proud moment for all of us at AIF and indeed the state and the region at large. We are confident that as you assume this onerous responsibility, you will bring your wealth of experience, dedication and excellence to bear on your new role to advance the cause of peace and reconciliation across the Northwest zone and beyond”.
