The Chairman of the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS), Comrade Jerry Adams, has said Governor Uba Sani’s peace and inclusiveness model has boosted the acceptance of the All Progressives Congress (APC) of the Chikun/Kajuru House of Representatives bye-election.

Adams stated this on Saturday while fielding questions from journalists during the supplementary poll.

He said the governor’s leadership style had restored confidence among the people and positioned the APC for victory.

“With the pace Governor Uba Sani is going, in the next two years, he will set a record no other governor has set. He has been able to balance governance, and his peace model has changed Kaduna’s story on security,” Adams said.

According to him, the governor’s approach is now being studied across the country as a framework for peacebuilding.

Speaking on taxation, the KADIRS boss disclosed that the state had updated its tax laws to meet global standards.

He said the reforms were designed to strengthen internally generated revenue (IGR) and fund critical sectors such as healthcare, education, roads, and agriculture.

“For the first time, our tax laws are being modernised. Though reforms come with challenges, the long-term effects will be positive. Every nation depends on IGR to drive development,” Adams explained.

He commended the governor for investing in rural infrastructure and agriculture, citing the distribution of 400 trucks of fertiliser to farmers as a step toward addressing food insecurity.

Adams added that peaceful coexistence, workers’ welfare, and infrastructural projects had increased public trust in the APC government.

“People are happy, workers have job security, and farmers have better access to markets. This is why APC will emerge victorious,” he declared.
