Vice President Kashim Shettima has paid a condolence visit to Aisha Buhari, widow of former President Muhammadu Buhari, in London.

Shettima also met with Mamman Daura, Buhari’s nephew, and members of the former president’s family during the visit on Monday.

Buhari died on Sunday at a clinic in London, United Kingdom.

President Bola Tinubu had directed Shettima to travel to London and accompany the body of the late Buhari.

The former president’s remains was initially scheduled to arrive in Nigeria on Monday, but was delayed.

Dikko Radda, governor of Katsina, said Buhari’s body will arrive in Nigeria by 12 pm on Tuesday and the burial will take place in his hometown, Daura, by 2 pm.

The Katsina governor added that the burial decision was taken following consultations with the family and other concerned personalities.
