Donald Trump, president of the United States of America, was in attendance as sides paraded their best stars, with Ousmanne Dembele leading PSG’s charge, while Palmer and Joao Pedro spearheaded Chelsea’s attack.

Palmer scored two identical goals in eight minutes to put Chelsea 2-0 up, slotting into the corner in the 22nd and 30th minutes, before sending Pedro on his way to a dinked finish beyond Gianluigi Donnarumma for 3-0 on 43 minutes as Enzo Maresca’s side stunned the packed stadium.

The defeat ends Luis Enrique’s record of winning every final he has contested, suffering a first defeat in the 12th attempt.

Chelsea however made it six consecutive victories in international finals
