Zainab Galadima, daughter of New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) chieftain Buba Galadima, has predicted a difficult road ahead for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.

Speaking on the Mic On podcast hosted by Seun Okinbaloye, Zainab claimed Tinubu might secure only 30 percent or less of the Northern vote.

“It is really bad,” she said.

“Tinubu may get maybe 30 percent or less. It’s going to be worse than the 2023 election.”

Zainab noted that the political terrain is shifting and the president is facing what may be his most formidable challenge yet.

“It’s going to be the toughest battle that he will ever see,” she declared.

Her remarks follow the formation of a coalition of opposition figures aimed at unseating Tinubu in 2027.

The group, made up of prominent Nigerians, recently adopted the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as its platform ahead of the next general elections.

While Zainab admitted she doesn’t fully understand the coalition’s strategies, she warned that its emergence should not be underestimated.

“Anybody that sees them knows that we need to sit up,” she added.

President Tinubu won the 2023 election with significant Southern support but has struggled with widespread dissatisfaction in parts of the North.
