In the early hours of Thursday, 5 June 2025, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) executed a targeted airstrike under Operation Hadin Kai in Buratai community, resulting in the deaths of multiple terrorists and the destruction of at least four gun trucks.

Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the Director of Public Relations and Information for the NAF, confirmed that the operation was conducted based on reliable intelligence. Surveillance assets monitored insurgents making an escape with the gun trucks.
