“Liverpool are advancing in talks to sign Jeremie Frimpong after contacts reported last week,” Romano stated. “I understand #LFC approached Bayer Leverkusen to discuss the structure of the €35m release clause.”

Romano further mentioned that discussions are also ongoing with the player’s representatives, with Frimpong demonstrating a strong interest in a move to Anfield.

“Talks are also underway on the player’s side, with Frimpong eager to join Liverpool,” he noted.

Frimpong played a pivotal role in Leverkusen’s Bundesliga-winning campaign and has attracted the attention of several top European clubs.
