The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that the NNPP elective convention at the RockView Hotel in Apapa, Lagos.

NAN recalls that Dr Agbo Major emerged as the new National Chairman of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) amongst others, in the convention which held on Tuesday, Feb.4.

In the communique, the party stated that INEC should upload and recognise the Major led NWC as the authentic, lawful and duly elected national officers of the NMPP.

It also urged INEC to implement and enforce the compelling judgment of the Abia State High Court delivered by Hon. Justice C.U OKOROAFOR Suit No.HUZ/11/2024.

“The convention noted with concern that the continued existence and retention of Dr Ahmed Ajuji led factional NWC as reflected on the INEC server is completely a disobedience to the Abia State High Court order amongst many others.

“The court had ordered that the NNPP hold fresh congresses from ward to national level which the party obeyed.”

The NNPP members agreed and adopted that its elected officers in the House of Assembly and House of Representatives shall be granted automatic ticket to re-contest elections in 2027, for commitment to the progress and development of the party.”
