Police Capture Three Suspects Linked to Lakurawa Terrorism in Kebbi, Reject ₦1 Million Bribe

In a commendable display of integrity, police in Kebbi State have apprehended three individuals associated with the notorious Lakurawa bandits after they attempted to bribe officers with ₦1.06 million.

According to a statement from the command’s spokesman, CSP Nafiu Abubakar, the suspects, identified as Umaru Garba, Alhaji Abubakar Alhaji Mamman, and Usman Muhammadu, sought to influence the lead investigator in an ongoing banditry case.

CSP Abubakar confirmed their immediate arrest, stating that investigations are currently underway, and the suspects will face charges in court once the inquiry concludes.

The state Commissioner of Police, Bello Sani, praised the detectives for their professionalism and integrity, encouraging other officers to follow their example in the pursuit of justice. He reaffirmed the command’s commitment to intensifying efforts against banditry and other criminal activities to foster socio-economic growth in Kebbi State.
