The newly elected chairman, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Kano State chapter, Alhaji Yusuf Kibiya, has pledged to reposition the party for optimal electoral performance in the future.

Kibiya expressed gratitude to party leaders and delegates for their trust and promised to improve the electoral fortunes of the party in the state.

Kibiya made the promise while addressing newsmen in Kano on Wednesday.

He acknowledged pressing challenges facing the nation and state, including economic challenges.

Kibiya emphasised the need to address these issues head-on and restore public trust in the leadership of the country.

He said the Federal and Kano State Government had not met the expectations of the public and urged them to confront national challenges frontally.

He invited all citizens, party members and non-party members alike, to join the crusade to build a brighter future for Kano State.

Kibiya said the PDP in Kano State was not satisfied with the conduct of Saturday Local Government election in the state which the ruling New Nigeria People’s Party swept.

Kibiya said he had set in motion a political mechanism that would focus on grassroots development, aiming to secure victory for the party in the 2027 general elections. (NAN)
