The House of Justice, a leading public interest law center, has announced an exciting career opportunity for qualified candidates to fill the position of Human Resources and Administration Officer.

Based in Abuja, this position involves managing a small team and playing a vital role in the organization’s operational and strategic initiatives.

Key Qualifications

Applicants are expected to demonstrate a high level of leadership, competence, and productivity. The required qualifications include:

A bachelor’s degree in fields such as Human Resources, Business, Law (with 5-10 years post call), International Relations, Development, or Public Administration. An advanced degree will be considered an asset.

Proficiency in office equipment and technology, including computers and internet applications.

Strong emotional intelligence, client management skills, and the ability to lead a team effectively.

Aged between 30 and 45 years, candidates must show the ability to work independently and contribute to multidisciplinary research.

Competencies

The ideal candidate will exhibit integrity, a strong drive for excellence, and a results-oriented mindset. The role requires attention to detail, leadership qualities, and innovation. Responsibilities include:

Overseeing recruitment, training, and team management.

Aligning HR and administrative strategies with organizational goals.

Providing key support to management through HR and administrative metrics while ensuring legal compliance in human resource management.

Remuneration and Benefits

The salary for the role is negotiable, with clear career growth prospects and potential for performance-based increases. Successful candidates will be entitled to various benefits, including paid annual leave, maternity leave, health and travel allowances, and housing support. Lawyers employed will also receive a robe allowance.

Interested candidates are required to submit a comprehensive application package, including an application letter, personal statement, and updated CV (with three referees), to hr@houseofjusticeng.com by 18 October 2024. Due to the importance of punctuality, preference will be given to applicants residing in Abuja’s Wuye, Utako, or Jabi areas unless they can demonstrate effective time management.
