The President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, Northern Senators and the governor of Kogi State, Ahmed Usman Ododo have commiserate with the Governor of Akwa Ibom state, Pastor Umoh Eno over the untimely death of his wife, Patience Umo Eno.
Akpabio, in a condolence message signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Hon. Eseme Eyiboh said he was immensely saddened by the death of the wife of the governor.
He said the late Mrs Patience Umo Eno’s kindness, compassion and commitment to the cause of the Akwa Ibom people will be greatly missed.
Also, the Northern Senators forum in a statement issued by their chairman, Abdulaziz Musa Yar’adua, said through Patience visionary initiative, Golden Initiative For All (GIFA), she transformed the lives of the poor and less privileged, exemplifying kindness and devotion.
“As a rock-solid pillar of strength, she provided unwavering encouragement and support to Governor Umo Eno. Her passing leaves a void that will be deeply felt, and we pray that Governor Umo Eno, the people of Akwa Ibom State, and her loved ones find strength during this immense loss. We remember her as a shining example of kindness, compassion, and devotion, inspiring many as a role model for peaceful living,” the Senators said.
Meanwhile, Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo has commiserated with the government and people of Akwa Ibom State over the demise of the wife of the Governor, Mrs Patience Umo Eno who died on Thursday.
In a condolence message to the government and people of Akwa Ibom State, Governor Ododo expressed shock over the death of the Akwa Ibom first lady whom he noted has played a pivotal role in helping Governor Umo Eno to steady the ship of state in more than one year since the Governor assumed office.
The statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media to the Governor, Ismaila Isah, the Kogi State Governor described Mrs Patience Umo Eno as a supporting wife, mother and grandmother whose pet projects have touched the lives of several women and vulnerable people in Akwa Ibom state.
Governor Ododo prayed for the peaceful repose of the soul of the late Mrs Umo Eno and also prayed for God’s comfort for her immediate family and the people of Akwa Ibom State as they grieve over the loss.
The late Mrs Patience Umo Eno died on Thursday at the age of 57 after a brief illness.
