NSCDC parades 2 suspects for alleged  impersonation,  vandalism

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC), Ogun Command,  on Tuesday, paraded two suspects for alleged vandalism and impersonation.

The Corps’ Commandant (CC), Mr David Ojelabi, while addressing newsmen at the parade in Abeokuta, said that one of the suspects, Oluwatobi Salami, specialised  in impersonating differrnt officials of government.

Ojelabi said that the second suspect, Idris Zakari, of Bagudu Local Government, Kebbi State, was arrested on August 9 at railway in Ifo Local Government Area for vandalising the railway clips.

He said that the suspects would be made to face the full wrath of the law.

“Salami specialises in impersonating an official of the Economic and FiFinancial  Crimes Commission (EFCC) and an officer of the Nigeria Army.

“EFCC jackets and other atires worn by the soldiers were found with him.

“He will be handed over to the appropriate authority for further  investigation.

“Zakari was arrested by the men of So-Safe Corps,  and in the spirit of inter-agency collaboration, he was handed over to the NSCDC, for further investigation and prosecution, Ojelabi said .

He  warned all criminal elements in the state to have a rethink as the defence arm will not hesitate to bring them to justice.
