Shehu Sani, the former Kaduna Central Senator (2015-2019), has expressed his admiration for Governor Uba Sani’s efforts in attracting 500 housing units from Qatar for the benefit of the less privileged in Kaduna State.

Elanza News reports that this remarkable initiative was made possible through Governor Uba Sani’s relentless lobbying.
The bond between the two politicians, who were once comrades fighting for the establishment of Democracy in Nigeria and the recognition of June 12 as a significant date in the nation’s history, had previously been strained due to political differences.

However, Elanza News reports that their shared presence at the 2024 June 12 celebration in the Villa, Nigeria’s seat of power, seems to have rekindled their commitment to the welfare of the “Talakawa” (common people).

Shehu Sani took to his social media platform to express his appreciation for Governor Uba Sani’s accomplishments on behalf of the underprivileged.
He remarked, “It is unprecedented in the history of our country to witness such a generous act where another nation constructs half a million housing units for the masses.”

Shehu Sani also commended Governor Uba Sani for his role in bringing about this remarkable housing infrastructure, saying, “The Qatar Kaduna 500k homes for the less privileged is commendable. Kudos to the Kaduna Governor for pulling off this unprecedented housing project.”

Shehu Sani’s post garnered positive responses from numerous individuals, including Paul of Truth, who shared statistics from the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria.

According to Paul, as of 2023, the housing deficit in the country stands at a staggering 28 million units, requiring an estimated 21 trillion Naira to address the situation.
In light of this, Paul said the Qatar Kaduna 500k homes initiative is seen as a welcome development.
Elanza News reports that this collaborative effort between Qatar and Kaduna State sets a precedent for the kind of mutually beneficial relationships Nigeria seeks to foster with other countries.
The impact of this project is significant, as it addresses a pressing need for affordable housing and improves the lives of the less privileged in the region.
