The wife of Nigerian serving Senator, Sunday Marshall Katung; Abigail has been elevated to the position of Mayor in the United Kingdom.
Councillor Abigail Marshall Katung emerged as Lord Mayor of Leeds City and was sworn in, an event attended by some Nigerian Governors and Senators led by Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani and the Senate Minority leader, Abba Moro.
Councillor Abigail is the 130th Lord Mayor of Leeds City and the first person of African descent to hold the position.
Her husband, Senator Sunday Marshall Katung is representing Kaduna South Senatorial District in 10th Senate.
