Tragically, several medical personnel have succumbed to the illness, prompting immediate action and heightened surveillance measures.

The 44 NARHK reported cases resembling acute Viral Hemorrhagic disease, resulting in the unfortunate loss of medical staff.

Contact tracing and enhanced Infection Prevention Control (IPC) protocols initiated to contain the spread. Immediate closure and thorough disinfection of affected areas underway.

The Nigerian Army engages national and state agencies, including the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) and Kaduna state Epidemiologists, for comprehensive analysis and support.

Despite setbacks, the Nigerian Army reaffirms its commitment to providing medical services to civilians, emphasizing ongoing support for host communities.

Public reassurance from Major General Onyema Nwachukwu underscores the Army’s dedication to containing the outbreak and maintaining transparency throughout the process.

With proactive measures and collaborative efforts, the Nigerian Army aims to swiftly contain the suspected outbreak while upholding its commitment to public health and community welfare.
