In the quest to bolster security measures, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s revival of the Forest Guard garners applause from the Northern Christian Youth Professionals (NCYP).

The NCYP advocates for the inclusion of forest-dwelling locals in the recruitment drive, emphasising their indispensable knowledge of the terrain.

The NCYP underscores the imperative for President Tinubu to incorporate forest community residents into the Forest Guard, citing their intimate familiarity with the forest landscape as pivotal in combatting banditry effectively.

Moreover, the NCYP urges the integration of literacy training alongside the inculcation of nationalist values in the recruitment programme, advocating for a unified, federal approach to Forest Guard revitalisation to ensure operational synergy across states.

The Forest Guard, as envisaged by the NCYP, assumes a pivotal role not only in fortifying national security but also in alleviating the prevailing food security crisis by safeguarding farmlands.

While pressing for detailed operational plans from the government, the NCYP pledges unwavering support towards initiatives fostering national security, unity, and prosperity.
