His Eminence the Sultan of Sokoto Alhaji Abubakar Saad II has reminded Nigerians that the best way to get relief from the hardship being experienced in the county is to return to God in prayers.

Alhaji Saad II also emphasized the importance of leadership and good followership, charged Muslims to unite and co-exist as their brothers keepers.

Represented by former Secretary to Government of Federation, Alhaji Yayale Ahmed, the Sultan noted “you should be reminded of the importance of leadership, unity and co-existence better between Muslims and Muslims and between Muslims and Christians in the wake of the current situation in the country.

“We are restating our followership and obedience to government but not the kind of obedience for seeking recognition but that of prayer, may God guide you.

The Chairman of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs further stated “Everyone knows the situation Nigeria right now but the solution is to go back to seek divine intervention and prayers, but we should not supplicate for eye service rather genuine supplication. Because the Lord has said that for any hardship there is relief.

He added that the hardship witnessed was as a result of the deviation of the people from the path of God.
