Within the narrative of this unfortunate occurrence, two vehicles bore witness to the collision – a sleek white M/Benz E230 displaying the registration number ‘OLODOGBO’ and a robust white Scania Truck marked with registration number MUS 301 XF.

Mr Adekanye revealed that the aftermath of the collision involved six individuals, with three losing their lives, while the others sustained injuries in varying degrees.

“The injured victims found solace in the embrace of LAUTECH Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso, whereas the lifeless bodies found their resting place within the same hospital’s morgue,” shared Adekanye.

Adding a poignant layer to this heart-wrenching incident, Mr Samuel Oloruntoba, an eyewitness, conveyed to NAN that the traditional rulers representing Odogbo, Bowula, and Ayetoro communities in Orire local government areas of Oyo state were the unfortunate souls lost in the accident.

Oloruntoba painted a vivid picture, revealing that the revered figures were en route to a funeral celebration for another traditional ruler’s kin in the vicinity.

The calamity struck at the Arinkinkin area of Ogbomoso, where the Mercedes Benz carrying the esteemed Obas collided head-on with an oncoming truck, sealing their tragic fate.
