unprecedented joy for retirees as Governor Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf initiates the disbursement of a substantial N6 billion, addressing the backlog of gratuity and death benefits at Coronation Hall, Government House, Kano.

Governor Yusuf fulfills his campaign promise outlined in the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) blueprint, reaching over 6,000 pensioners in the initial phase.

This remarkable initiative is set to span 20 months, a testament to the government’s commitment to its citizens.

Under the NNPP’s banner, Governor Yusuf underscores his commitment to the welfare of those who served the state, including the families of deceased civil servants.

The disbursement extends to beneficiaries of civil servants who retired or passed away in active service between 2016 and 2019, demonstrating the government’s dedication to inclusivity.

Governor Yusuf, in an official ceremony marking the commencement of fund distribution, reveals the government’s disciplined savings approach, ensuring pensioners receive their dues even in the face of limited resources.

The move echoes the state’s dedication to honoring its obligations and showcasing responsible financial management.

Governor Yusuf acknowledges the collective victory represented by Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, emphasizing that it goes beyond individual achievement.

The governor calls for unity, setting aside differences for the common goal of progress and development.

He extends sympathies to Abba Kabir Yusuf and advocates for collaborative efforts towards a brighter future for Kano.
