This was made known by the Zonal Pastor, Pst Adewale Kukoyi on Sunday 26, November, 2023 at the scene of the commissioning.

According to him, they are dedicating the road that God has used them to construct for the community as part of the church’s social responsibility.

Speaking about the motivation for the road project, Pastor Kukoyi explained that it’s not every project that should be left for the government to handle.

“In Nigeria of today, we can’t leave everything to the government. And when we say government, we are also part of them. After all, Democracy is a government of the people, by the people and for the people’ .

” Also, we are people of God. God told us that let your light so shine before us that they may see your good work and glorify your father who is in heaven. God actually gave us the instruction to do this so that we may be a light to this neighborhood.

“The primary assignment of the church and the children of God is to touch lives, and win as many as possible souls to God. In the redeemed Christain Church of God , we have what they call Christain Social Responsibility. Our authority also told us that we need to say thank you to where the church is situated. The is another way of telling the people of this environment that we love them, we’re people of peace. And as they allow the church to be in the neighborhood, we want to impact alot on the community as much as possible, he promised.

Adding his voice, Pst Chinedu Ezekwesili , who’s in charge of the church’s CSR, said the church has been doing this for decades and this is just one of many they have done.

” We have spent over N64m to construct the 1.5km road network. According to Matthew 5:14, ” You are the light of the world. You cannot hide a city that has been built upon a mountain.” This is what the church is supposed to do, anywhere the church is, it’s supposed to e the light. And that’s why we constructed this road for the residents,” he added.

Also, some residents who couldn’t hide their joy thanked the church for constructing the road and making the deplorable road now motorable and accessible, urging other Churches and worship centers to emulate the kind gesture.
