Leke Abejide from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) lagged behind at a distant third with a meagre 7 votes.

Location: Open space, Iluafon quarters
Registration Area: Aiyetoro 1, Ijumu LGA, Kogi

The voting breakdown showcased a diverse political palette:

APC: 22
PDP: 210
SDP: 1
PRP: 2
NRM: 1
ADP: 1
ADC: 7

Despite the intense political climate, the polling unit reported a subdued voter turnout. Out of the 819 registered voters, only 252 were accredited, revealing a palpable disengagement from the electoral process.

This low participation, however, did not diminish the significance of Melaye’s commanding victory.

Dino Melaye’s Strategic Boycott
In a strategic move, Dino Melaye and his ardent supporters opted to boycott the electoral exercise.

This decision, according to Melaye, stems from a conviction that the outcome had been predetermined, adding an intriguing layer to the electoral saga.
