General Musa began his visit with a courtesy call to Governor Senator Uba Sani at the Sir Kashim Ibrahim (Government) House.

During this meeting, he reassured the nation that the military is determined to eliminate bandits and terrorists.

He emphasized that this battle requires the collective support of all Nigerians, from the military to religious and traditional leaders and every citizen.

General Musa stated, “For terrorists and bandits, it’s just a matter of time.

We are coming after them, and we are going to expel them from the country entirely.”

He also mentioned plans to enhance the military’s operations, making them more robust and result-oriented.

In his commitment to ensuring security, General Musa stressed the importance of both kinetic and non-kinetic operations.

He explained that these operations must work hand in hand to close gaps, making it challenging for terrorists to move freely.

General Musa urged everyone to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activities, emphasizing that security is a shared responsibility.

Governor Uba Sani praised General Musa’s past achievements, highlighting his professional expertise.

He expressed hope that General Musa’s leadership would help curb insecurity in Nigeria.

Governor Sani requested the prolonged stay of Special Forces in the fight against banditry and terrorism.

He also called for the expansion of Operation Safe Haven in Southern Kaduna to address challenges in specific areas.

Moreover, Governor Sani emphasized the need to restrict bandits and terrorists from using forests as hideouts and block their corridors to neighboring states, such as Zamfara, Niger, and Katsina.

He revealed that efforts were being made to collaborate with neighboring states in the fight against criminality.

General Musa paid homage to the Emir of Zazzau, Ambassador Nuhu Bamali, seeking the cooperation, support, and prayers of the traditional institution to combat armed banditry, terrorism, and criminal activities.

On Saturday, General Musa attended the Passing out Parade and Commissioning of Cadets of the 70th Regular Course at the Nigerian Defence Academy.

Over 200 cadets, including those from African sister countries, graduated as junior military officers, reflecting Nigeria’s commitment to regional security.

The CDS concluded his visit by paying homage to the paramount ruler of Gbagyi Chiefdom, Sa-Gbagyi II, His Highness Ishaku Yari.

The ruler thanked President Bola Tinubu for appointing a son of Kaduna to lead the Nigerian military, recognizing General Musa’s outstanding achievements.

General Musa assured the traditional ruler of the military’s cooperation, highlighting the importance of the traditional institution’s support in overcoming insecurity.

Prayers were offered for General Musa, the Nigerian armed forces, and the government’s success in addressing security challenges.

The CDS returned to Abuja, resuming his activities in preparation for Nigeria’s 53rd Independence Anniversary.
