Two factions have emerged in the seventh House of Assembly in Nasarawa State with members-elect convening at separate places to choose their principal officers.
Thirteen members-elect held their inaugural sitting at the house of Assembly complex along Lafia Shendam Road and elected Daniel Ogazi as speaker.

At a separate session at the State Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Community Development, 11 other members-elect re – elected Speaker of the sixth assembly, Ibrahim Balarabe.
Meanwhile, security personnel have been deployed in the house of assembly complex due to tension generated by the political face-off.
