Ahead of the Governorship and House of Assembly elections, the Kaduna State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Hassan Hyat, has called on the members of the Labour Party (LP) to join forces in order to salvage the state from the recklessness of the last 8-years APC mal-administration.

Hyat in a statement signed and issued to Journalists in Kaduna on Wednesday, he appeal to the members and supporters of the Labour Party in the state to put behind the setbacks that they all suffered in the last presidential elections and move ahead together.

He said as you are all aware, the much anticipated 2023 general elections kick-started with the conduct of the presidential and national assembly elections on the 25th February, 2023.

Hyat noted that although the process and outcome of the election, especially in the presidential election, fell short of the expectations of majority of Nigerians and the PDP, we are, nonetheless, grateful for the show of support given to our candidates and party across the state.

” We appreciate the large turn-out of voters in our state, especially those who voted in our favour and gave our presidential candidate, Alh. Atiku Abubakar, giving him, yet again, his highest number of votes in the 36 states of the federation and the FCT.

“We are also very grateful for voting our three (3) candidates for the senate and ten (10) out of the 16 House of Representatives seats in the state.

Hyat maintained that the outcome of the just concluded election was a clear indication that the people of Kaduna State have rejected the APC and are now resolved to pitch their tent with the PDP, saying We do not take that vote of confidence for granted.

” We call on the good people of Kaduna, irrespective of the party they supported in the presidential election, to do even more in the next round of elections. We must come out en masse and ensure we send the APC packing from our state. The State Chairman advised.
