One of the rising stars of the Women’s African Nations Cup (WAFCON) taking place in Morocco right now is Ajibade.

She scored the first goal for the Falcons on Sunday as they defeated Burundi 4-0 to advance to the quarterfinals of the WAFCON. In the game, which the Nigerian team controlled from start to finish, she also contributed two assists. Ajibade lifted her jersey to show a white vest beneath it that said, “Thank you Jesus,” as she celebrated scoring from the penalty spot.

She was meant to be a Muslim, but instead, she made Jesus the centre of attention. After the game, Ajibade posted on her Twitter account to show her thankfulness to Jesus even more.

Rasheedat Ajibade wrote on her dress: “Thank you Jesus, Good performance from the entire team and through to the knockout rounds. The real game starts now.”
