The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant in Benue Arc Bernard Yisa has expressed optimism that the Minister of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs Senator George Akume has a better chance of winning the National Chairman of the Party above all the contestants.
This is even as he also appealed to members of the party to continue to pray fervently for Sen. Akume to enable him emerge the party’s National Chairman.
He made the appeal in Gboko, when he visited the Jemgbagh intermediate area which comprised comprise, Buruku, Gboko and Tarka LGAs to intimate them of his ambition and to seek their support and blessings to enable him win the Governorship seat of the State come 2023.

Arc. Yisa who commended Akume for championing the cause of the party in Benue and North Central at large, added that this is the time to appreciate him for all that he has done for the party in the North Central region and the country at large.
Also speaking, the President-General, Jemgbagh Elders Forum, Elder Haa Orpin, prayed God to grant Yisa success in his political quest as tour the the State.
The APC Chairman in Zone B, Mr James Tor, also urged Benue people who were yet to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVC) to do so without delay, stressing that their PVC was their power and strength.
Some of the elders who spoke including Augustine Tse, Victor Akume, Ahembe Kyo and Ahungwa Jeh all for Buruku, pledged to give him Yisa unflinching support since he was an ally of their son, Akume.
The Director-General, Yisa Campaign Organization, Mr Fidelis Audu, said that the aspirant was a man of impeccable character and should be supported.
