The political battle for the Takum/Donga/Ussa/Yangtu Federal Constituency has shifted to the courtroom, as Hon. Audu Israel Tseaga formally challenges the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election.

In a suit marked FHC/ABJ/CS/1128/2026, filed before the Federal High Court in Abuja, Tseaga is seeking the nullification of the primary result that produced Rt. Hon. Mark Bako Useni as the party’s flagbearer. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the APC are also listed as defendants in the matter.

At the last adjournment, Justice Inyang Ekwo granted leave for the originating processes to be served on Useni, paving the way for a substantive hearing on the Motion on Notice.

Tseaga contends that the exercise was riddled with significant irregularities, insisting that he remains the rightful holder of the party’s ticket. With the dispute now before the judiciary, the intra-party conflict has decisively moved from the ballot box to the courtroom for final arbitration.
