The event welcomed children aged two years and above, offering golfing activities and fun fairs designed to encourage social interaction and enjoyment. Golf competitions were organised across various age groups.

Among the youngest, children aged two to six years took part in chipping and putting drills. Twelve children participated, with two-year-old Yusuf Adamu emerging as runner-up. Mohammed Abdullahi was second runner-up, while Kayla Daniel and Anastatia Samuel, aged five and six, each recorded three putts out of five.

In the ladies’ category (ages 6–10), playing two holes, Fedora Adesisi, 14, claimed runner-up Gross, while Zainab Haruna, 11, took Best Gross. For ages 11–18 playing six holes, Ummikhulsum Haruna won with a net score of 35.

In the boys’ categories, Israel Silas secured runner-up Gross (38), Jeremi Yahaya second runner-up (34), and Edmond Godwin Best Gross (33). In Category 1, runner-up Gross was Haruna Saew (30), with Damul Kolade taking Best Gross (29).

In her opening address, Ms Daniel said: “As lady golfers organise this Children’s Day special clinic for young ones aged six to 18, this celebration reminds parents of our collective responsibility to nurture, protect, educate, and guide them as they grow into tomorrow’s leaders.”

She added: “While we celebrate today, our hearts go out to children across Nigeria facing difficult circumstances. We remember and pray for all children affected by insecurity and violence. In particular, we stand in solidarity with families whose children have endured the trauma of abduction. As parents and guardians, we pray for the safety, protection, and well-being of every child, and we hope for a future where all children can live, learn, and grow in peace and security.”

The Lady Captain expressed gratitude to the club Captain, Board of Trustees, Management Committee, sponsors, donors, club members, and all who contributed to the event’s success. “Your generosity has made it possible for these children to enjoy a memorable and meaningful day,” she said.

She encouraged the children: “Always remember that you are unique, talented, and capable of achieving great things. Stay focused on your education, respect your parents and teachers, and never stop believing in your dreams.”

Concluding, she noted: “Seeing our children happy is one of the greatest rewards of this celebration. It encourages us to continue creating opportunities that support and inspire the younger generation.”
