Popular Nigerian streamer, Peller, has opened up about his family dynamics, revealing that his mother disapproves of him giving money to his father.
The disclosure came during a livestream reacting to content creator GehGeh’s recent family controversy. GehGeh had been called out by his younger sister for allegedly abandoning his siblings despite his wealth. In response, GehGeh explained that while he was the first in his family to achieve financial success, he had not yet earned enough to lift his entire family out of poverty.
“I never get the kind of money wey fit raise family from poverty,” he said, advising his siblings to seek employment rather than rely on him.
Reacting to the controversy, Peller revealed that his own family situation is strikingly similar, with his father once threatening legal action against him. He recounted giving his father substantial sums of money and a car as a gift, yet continuing to face persistent financial demands.
“I have given these people a lot,” Peller shared. “My mum was even telling me to stop. My mother does not want me to give my father anything, but I keep giving him money because he paid my school fees while I was growing up.”
He explained that despite gifting his father a car, his father requested more money the very next day. “I gave him the money, and he still called me the following day to ask for more money.”
The streamer also touched on his support for his mother, revealing that he had opened multiple shops for her – a gesture that left him feeling the weight of familial obligations.
“If I tell you how many shops I have opened for my mother, you would be shocked,” he concluded, shedding light on the complexities of family expectations and the emotional toll of financial responsibility.
