Popular Nigerian gospel singer, Moses Bliss, has shared a personal account of how his wife battled a sudden and unexplained illness last year.
Bliss said the episode came unexpectedly and tested his faith, as his wife developed severe pain on one side of her body and struggled to lie on her back.
“Something happened last year that I had not shared. All of a sudden, I don’t know where the sickness came from to test my faith,” he said.
According to him, the condition worsened quickly, leaving his wife unable to breathe properly, while medical tests failed to reveal the cause.
“It became serious. We had to start going to the hospital. They were doing all sorts of tests and they didn’t know what was going on,” he added.
The singer disclosed that the situation became so critical that ambulances were called at intervals, while his in-laws moved in to assist with caring for their child.
“At some point, I started crying. My in-laws had to stay with us to help take care of our son. We were calling ambulances when it got really serious,” he said.
Bliss further revealed that his wife was in constant pain, prompting him to return and stay by her side at the hospital, where doctors advised that she might need to remain admitted indefinitely.
“The doctor said she had to be there indefinitely. I sat beside her and kept speaking the word of God into her heart,” he said.
However, in what he described as a sudden turnaround, Bliss said he received a call from his wife shortly after he left the hospital.
“One hour into my trip, she called me that she was on her way home. She said the doctor came and said there was no pain, nothing, and she could go home,” he recounted.
