In a statement on Friday, Eno Olotu, director of information and public relations at the office of the head of the civil service of the federation (HCSF), said the affected permanent secretaries are Kachallom Shangti Daju of federal ministry of health and social welfare, Beatrice Jedy-Agba of federal ministry of justice (solicitor-general of the federation), and Mary Ada Ogbe of ministry of regional development.

Olotu added that the renewal of their tenure, which is the second and final four-year term, will take effect from April 26, 2026.

“In a move consistent with extant public service rules, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, has approved the renewal of tenure for three Permanent Secretaries in the Federal Civil Service,” the statement reads.

“The approval, which takes effect from 27th April 2026, marks a second and final term of four years for the officials.

“The renewal is in line with the provisions of Public Service Rule (PSR) 020909, which permits Permanent Secretaries an initial four-year term, with eligibility for a further term of four years, subject to satisfactory performance.

“While congratulating the permanent secretaries on their reappointment, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, urged them to view the renewed mandate as a call to heightened dedication and excellence in service delivery.

“She further charged them to bring their vast experience and professional expertise to bear in the effective discharge of their duties for the benefit of the nation.”

In April 2022, the late former President Muhammadu Buhari swore in Jedy-Agba, Ogbe, Daju, and Shehu Ibrahim as permanent secretaries.
