The 2026 Economic Summit, organised by The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Lagos Province 20, at Christ the Lord Parish in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, will hold on Saturday, March 21, featuring a distinguished lineup of speakers and panellists from across Nigeria’s economy.
The high-level event, themed “Positioned for Advantage in a Shifting Economy,” is expected to attract policymakers, business leaders, investors, and entrepreneurs to examine strategies for economic growth, wealth creation, and sustainable development, amid Nigeria’s evolving economic landscape. The event is open for both physical and online participation
The Host, Assistant Pastor in Charge of Region 11 and Pastor in Charge of Lagos Province 20 of RCCG, Pastor Tunde Netufo (FCA), has reaffirmed his commitment to empowering people economically as part of the Church’s Christian Social Responsibility. This would be achieved through the promotion of economic literacy and informed dialogue, which will foster unusual resilience to navigate Nigeria’s future.
According to him, the summit reflects the broader mission of the church: to contribute meaningfully to national development, Nigeria’s economic development, and to foster a clear understanding of its impact on citizens’ daily lives. “The main reasons we, as a church, have decided to organise this summit are to contribute to the ongoing economic discourse in the country and the overall well-being of the people,” he said.
Renowned Economist and Financial Analyst, Mr Bismarck Rewane, will headline the Summit as the keynote Speaker. In addition, there would be in-depth panel discussions focusing on personal wealth creation, the development of small and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs), and the impacts of taxation on individuals and businesses.
Speaking on personal wealth and financial empowerment is Mrs Sola Adesakin, a Chartered Accountant and Wealth Coach with over 20 years of cognate experience. She is the founder of Smart Stewards Financial Advisory Limited and Smart Stewards Advisory LLC, where she advises individuals and businesses on structured wealth-building strategies.
Dr Chidi Okpaluba, a Social Entrepreneur with more than two decades of experience in business development and non-governmental initiatives, is the SMEpanellist. His work spans multiple enterprises and impact-driven programmes aimed at youth empowerment and economic inclusion, with outreach initiatives that have reached over 200,000 Nigerians.
Providing expert insights on Taxation is Mrs Nike James, Partner, Tax Financial and Tax Risk Management, at KPMG Nigeria, with over 25 years of experience. She advises multinational and local financial services clients on tax risk management, mergers and acquisitions, cross-border transactions, restructuring, and regulatory compliance. The new tax policies of the Federal Government require a deeper understanding among citizens and businesses, and this will be a focus area of this summit.
Panel sessions will be moderated by Mrs Uwa Osa Oboh, Principal at African Capital Alliance. At the same time, Award-Winning Broadcaster, Mrs Ayo Mairo-Ese of Arise News Channel, will serve as anchor for the summit.
