The focus of this year’s awards is the commendable efforts made by Nigerian State Governments in rehabilitating, maintaining, and constructing roads within their respective states. Despite the long-standing requirement for vehicles to be 100% roadworthy, these state governments have demonstrated a commitment to improving the condition of their intra-state roads. Their dedication to enhancing intra-state mobility and prioritizing the safety of motorists has not gone unnoticed by the Nigerian automotive stakeholders.

Several Nigerian State Governments have been nominated for their outstanding performance in continuously constructing, maintaining, and rehabilitating their intra-state roads. These governments will be ceremoniously recognized and presented with Awards of Excellence in Intra-State Mobility & Transportation, as well as the Most Excellence in Road Safety. The awards will acknowledge their significant contributions in facilitating smooth intra-state mobility, ensuring the safety of motorists, and reducing road accidents within their states.

To qualify for these prestigious awards, the nominated states must meet a minimum of 70% of the standards set by the Automobiles And Road Safety Initiative in terms of road rehabilitation, maintenance, and construction engineering, with a focus on safety components. Each deserving state will receive two High Grade Awards as a testament to their achievements.
