3 Confirm Dead, As NDLEA Engage Drug Dealer In A Gunshots In Taraba

No fewer than three people have died from stray bullets as personel of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) arrested a drug dealer in ATC area of Jalingo, Taraba state.

The incident which occured around 4pm on Tuesday, saw the officers who went on the operation in their official hilux made a stiff resistance after they arrested the dealer, eye witness told newsmen.

Mr Sunday Yakubu who’s an eyewitness told our correspondent that the hoodlums attacked the officers in their bid to snatch him from the NDLEA but the officers shot sporadically.

He added that the sporadic shooting resulted in the death of two men and one woman who is a pregnant woman and a yam seller at the popular Kasuwan bera market in ATC.

Further source also confirm that, when the drug dealer who operate in a small chemist was arrested, the hoodlums who attack the officer were mostly his buyers, they bodly confront the NDLEA officers, daring them that they can’t take him away.
