The Coalition of Grassroots Movement for Tinubu 2027 (CGMT) has appointed the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) governorship candidate in Taraba State, Hon. Danjuma Usman Shiddi, popularly known as Danji SS, as its Grand Patron and Pillar of Support.
The appointment, contained in a letter dated August 31, 2026, and signed by the National Coordinator of CGMT, Rtn. Elizabeth Michael T., recognizes Danji SS’s contributions to community development, philanthropy, grassroots engagement and leadership.
According to the coalition, Danji SS was selected for the prestigious role because of his “exemplary leadership qualities, commitment to community development, and remarkable philanthropic gestures towards the people.”
CGMT, a national grassroots movement backing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid, said it expects the APGA candidate’s experience, influence and guidance to strengthen its grassroots mobilisation and political engagement across the country.
The coalition described Danji SS as a “Pillar of Support” and said arrangements would soon be concluded for the formal presentation and official unveiling of his appointment.
The appointment comes amid increasing political activities and realignments ahead of the 2027 general elections, particularly in Taraba State.
The coalition operates under the slogan: “United We Rise with Tinubu 2027.”
