Abia State, Nigeria – The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Obingwa West State Constituency in the 2027 Abia State House of Assembly election, Enyinnaya Appolos, has declared his full preparedness for the political contest, vowing not to underrate any opponent.
The seasoned journalist, a former Political Correspondent for The Nation and Nigerian Compass newspapers, spoke shortly after securing the party’s ticket. He described the nomination not as a victory, but as a profound responsibility.
“I will not underrate my opponents or their political parties,” Mr Appolos said. “I came prepared for this assignment, and I will meet them in the field.”
A former Chief Press Secretary and Media Adviser to ex-Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, Appolos stressed that winning the PDP ticket demands greater resolve, not complacency. He pledged unwavering loyalty to the party’s ideals, noting that the confidence placed in him by leaders and supporters would drive a campaign built on hard work and direct voter engagement.
“Politics is won through preparation, strategy, and engagement,” he added, dismissing any notion of an easy path. “The mission is not merely about victory, but purposeful representation and sustaining PDP values in Obingwa West.”
As momentum builds toward the 2027 elections, Appolos’s message to allies and rivals is clear: he is focused, loyal, and ready for the contest ahead.
