Ahead of the 2027 general elections, a new political movement known as the Coalition of Arewa Youths for Atiku Abubakar and Rotimi Amaechi has emerged, declaring support for a joint ticket that unites the North and South in the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Speaking during a courtesy visit to the ADC national leader, Honourable Abba Haruna Ibrahim attended by the executives in Kaduna, and women groups from the 19 Northern states, said Nigerian youths are tired of hardship and want experienced leaders who can restore hope.
“We have seen the suffering under the current administration — hunger, insecurity, and unemployment. Atiku Abubakar represents experience, economic wisdom, and national unity. Rotimi Amaechi represents courage, infrastructure development, and youth inclusion. Together, they form a balanced team for a new Nigeria,” he said.

Atiku, former Vice President and businessman, with decades of political network; Amaechi, two-term Speaker, two-term Governor of Rivers, and former Minister of Transportation who delivered rail revival.
“North-South Unity:* The combination respects Nigeria’s diversity and promotes inclusion, as championed by the wider ADC coalition of leaders like David Mark, Nasir El-Rufai, Sule Lamido and others.
“Rescue Agenda:” looking at the security first, reviving the economy, supporting farmers and herders, creating jobs for Arewa youths, and restoring the naira’s value.
He promise to work with the coalition for visiting and declared support and announced it has adopted the ADC as its official platform, in line with Atiku’s recent move from PDP to ADC on November 24, 2025, and Amaechi’s alignment with the opposition coalition unveiled at Yar’Adua Centre on July 2, 2025.
” Honourable Abba appreciated all efforts and support of the coalition . Call on Nigeria not to relent in supporting Atiku/ Amechi 2027, but to do away with voter buying,if politicians give you money collect it’s your money, but think and do what is right, he adviced.
The national coalition state coordinator Honourable Mammam Madaki Sule, in his welcome address stressed the reason of the visit, “We are not supporting Atiku and Amaechi because of tribe or religion. We support them because they have a plan. Atiku has promised restructuring and economic reform. Amaechi understands infrastructure and youth engagement. This is what Arewa needs.”
The coalition also pledged to mobilize 5 million young voters across the North through door-to-door campaigns, campus debates, and radio discussions in Hausa, Fulfulde and English.
They called on Peter Obi, Kwankwaso and other opposition leaders to join the ADC coalition to present a united front against the APC in 2027.
