Arising from calls by well-meaning Kogi East sons and daughters over the unfortunate development from the Gubernatorial primaries of April 2023, an Interventionist group –the League of Kogi East Professionals Led by Professor Armstrong Idachaba, J.S Okutepa SAN, Dr Tony Ogboji, Alhaji Aminu Ahmadu Yakubu, Alhaji Adams Yakubu-Concern, Dr Arome Salifu, Moses Abraham Odaudu, Ugbede Abrahams Etubi, Prince Inuwa Iyodo and our Chairman Dr Abubakar Adama, conveyed and held several meetings culminating in an interactive session on the 6th of May,2023 with the under listed aspirants and candidates:

RESOLUTION
We are very proud of the capacity, passion, intelligence, and proficiency of our brothers that are soliciting opportunity to serve as Governor of Kogi state. Indeed, they are ALL well qualified to run as Governor of the state.

At the end of the group’s assessment, Alhaji Muritala Yakubu Ajaka emerges as the most popular and most widely accepted candidate. His commitment to Kogi East courses over the years and his experience as a national party administrator stands him out.
