The governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Col Agbu Kefas on Monday, promises to pay all outstanding salaries and pensions in the shortest time if elected.
Speaking during a campaign rally in Gembu, Sardauna local government area, he reiterated his commitment to paying pensioners who have worked and labored for the state. The rally was attended by the state deputy governor, Haruna Manu, Deputy senate minority leader, Shuaibu Isa Lau, and parties stakeholders.
Kefas called on residents of the state, especially the youth, to come out and vote for him stating that PDP will not lose an election in his own time.
In his words he asserts that “If I am elected I will pay the outstanding gratuity for retired civil servants and I will facilitate job opportunities for our teeming youths in the state,
“Civil servants and pensioners will receive their monthly benefits as at when due,”
“My administration, if elected, will ensure the food security and that of life and properties in the state,” he added.
Speaking on sporting events in the state, he said “sport is very integral, I’ve contacted people in areas of sport and they are ready to deliver and also stage a football competition that will make Taraba footballers go international.”
