In a remarkable display of selflessness, Miss Marvellous Jephanum Raymond, a dedicated 200-level nursing student at Kaduna State College of Nursing and Midwifery, Kafanchan campus, chose to celebrate her twenty-second birthday in a truly meaningful way.

Rather than indulging in lavish festivities, she orchestrated a free medical outreach event that left a lasting impact on her community.

Held on a sunny Saturday at the premises of the Good News Power Base Church in Kafanchan, the event drew in a diverse crowd, transcending religious and age boundaries.

A total of 170 individuals, representing both Christianity and Islam, as well as women, children, and the elderly, gathered to benefit from Miss Marvellous Raymond’s altruistic initiative.

Salama News reports that the one-day event encompassed a spectrum of healthcare services, attendees received free consultations and invaluable health education.

Furthermore, tests for hepatitis B, diabetes, and HIV were administered, ensuring that attendees gained critical insights into their health status.

Some individuals, based on their medical history, even received free medications, which undoubtedly alleviated their health concerns.

In an exclusive interview, Miss Marvellous Raymond, the driving force behind this medical outreach, expressed her profound desire to give back to her community.

She emphasized that her birthday presented a unique opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of others.

Grateful for the support she received from generous individuals, her colleagues, and volunteering doctors, she firmly pledged to continue this noble gesture.

Miss Raymond fervently solicits support from well-meaning individuals and organizations to expand the scope of her outreach.

She believes that countless individuals suffer due to a lack of awareness about their health conditions, primarily because they cannot afford medical tests.

Her mission is to bridge this gap, and she firmly believes that with continued support, more lives can be saved.

Mr. Kyere Raymond, Miss Marvellous Raymond’s father, admitted that he was initially taken aback when his daughter disclosed her intention to organize a free medical outreach. In a challenging economic climate, such a noble endeavor seemed daunting.

However, he expressed profound gratitude for the overwhelming support his daughter received. He prayed that those who contributed would experience divine blessings and prosperity.

Beneficiaries of this exceptional outreach event shared their thoughts. Hajiya Janina Garba and Mr. Philip Kwasau both expressed their heartfelt appreciation for Miss Marvellous Raymond’s selfless act.

They highlighted how the event enabled them to ascertain their health status, receive counseling, and obtain much-needed medication, all without financial strain.

Their admiration for her unwavering commitment to this cause was evident.

Miss Marvellous Jephanum Raymond’s birthday celebration, transformed into a beacon of hope for her community.
