Zauru-Kafanchan Bridge, Others Included In Urban Renewal Second Phase – Commissioner


The Hon. Commissioner, Planning and Budget Commission Kaduna State, Mr Toma Gyang has disclosed that the Zauru-Kafanchan Bridge that links the on going new road that burst in Zonkwa through Ayagan and other dilapidated road would be Inlisted on the second phase of the Kafanchan City Urban Renewal.

The Commissioner stated this while fielding question from Journalists during the official flagged off and handing over of 26.334 kilometers roads in Kafanchan yesterday to FarmTrack Nigerian limited Company and Rafali Nigeria limited Company respectively.

Gyang maintained that the Zauru-Kafanchan bridge that links the on going new road that burst from Zonkwa through Ayagan will certainly be captured in the second phase of the Kafanchan Urban Renewal Project.

” We already had a discussion with the Executive Governor about the bridge and the new road, certainly we’re going to link them up so that the City and environs would have a befitting outlook.

” Rafali Nigeria limited Company which would be handling the dualization of the road from Kafanchan NEPA Roundabout to Ungwa Rimi and hopefully the road will turn round to Ungwa Rimi town throughout its lenght that’s what we’re looking forward to,” He said.

According to him, 3 billion naira has already been advanced to start the roads projects, adding it is not a 419 thing, we heard people in Kaduna town saying so that we’re here just to deceived them.

He added that the Kafanchan City Urban Renewal roads projects is aimed at expanding the City to boost socio economic activities within and outside the area,” Gyang explained.

He called on residents in the Area to pray for the good health of the Governor and give their necessary support to the Government off Kaduna State.
