Zaria Street FC Clinches Sarkin Kasuwa Maiden Inter Street Football Competition Trophy

The Zaria Street football Club Kafanchan in Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna state has emerged winners in the final of the maiden edition of the Sarkin Kasuwa Inter Street Football Competition which was played at the Old Kafanchan Township Stadium.

Zaria Street Football Club defeated Jama’a street by 3 goals to 2 after regulation time.

Speaking to newsman shortly after the competition, the Sarkin Kasuwan Kafanchan Alhaji Ayuba Sale said the tournament was organized to Foster unity and love among the youth in Kafanchan and it’s environs as well as give opportunity to showcase their talents geared towards moving forward on football career.

Alhaji Ayuba appealed to the youths to shun all tendencies that would bridge the peaceful coexistence and mutual respect among the people in the area.

While commending the organizers of the tournament for their initiative, he promised to give his support to any innovation that is peace oriented, and assured that the competition will be an annual event.

Earlier in his remark while presenting the trophy to the winners, the Special Guest at the occasion Alhaji Danlami Abdullahi Maitsagwaro congratulated the winners for their hard work dedication and skilful display that make them clinched the trophy.

Maitsagwaro however urged Jama’a Street not to discouraged but continue to practice hard and wait for other competitions ahead.

He then appealed to the Kaduna State Government and well to do individuals to assist youths all over the State to enable them develop the talents they possess.

Also speaking, the Chairman Organising committee of the competition, Zaidu Ataimaka expressed satisfaction with the way and manner the players and Officials conducted themselves from the beginning of the competition to the end.

He also said that Kafanchan is blessed with skilful players that can perform very well anywhere they found themselves, against which backdrop he called on football scouts, agents and coaches to come to Kafanchan and pick their choice.
