Yari Not Barred From Villa – APC Aspirants Leader

The leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Aspirants Forum Hon Bashir Muhammed Dala has debunked rumour going round that former Zamfara State Governor, Abdul Aziz Yari, has been barred from visiting the president at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Dala described the rumour regarding the barricading of the immediate chairman of Nigeria Governors forum and former Zamfara State Governor, his excellency Abdul Aziz Yari as a pure distraction.

Dala in a statement described the rumour as the handiwork of detractors who are bent on creating rancour between the President and the former Zamfara governor.

He emphasised that the relationship still remains as it use to be especially as the 2023 elections approaches.

“The APC remains the best party the former governor will always be a member. Where and how the detractors got their information still remains a mystery. Yari as far as I am concern, has access to the president anytime and has not decamped to any party as being speculated.

“Additionally, the President and Yari still maintains cordial relationship. Politically, no Zamfara politician has the political clout and weight like Yari going by his political profile having served as a House of Representatives member, senator and governor as such, he cannot be compared to new generation politician. The APC National chairmanship seat can better be managed by experienced, foresighted and coordinated figures like Yari. Some jealous opponents are intimidated by his structure, personality and followership. Can he at this material time dump a party he sacrificed and helped to build,” the statement added.

“The general public especially party loyalists both in Zamfara and the national level should disregard the rumour making round that he has dumped APC for SDP. There is no way he can decamp at this material time and give his structure to any party,” he said.
