It was Steven Brust who said
“A young man without ambition is an old man waiting to be.” That quote is significant of Henrich Akomolafe Bankole, a seasoned young engineer who has given all to humanity and showed the world that his ambition is priceless.
For those who have come across the industrious Henrich, it didn’t come as a surprise when he was announced to be on the 5th edition of Forbes Africa 30 under 30 list of the continent’s talents and entrepreneurs.
Forbes revealed the reason why they saw him and other young leaders worthy to attain that recognition. “These are the young people who will lead the future society in the four sectors of business, technology, creativity and sport.”
It was like they saw the future, even though Henrich has been doing great job underground, not just for himself, but for communities across the world.
The 2016 Master of Science in IT graduate from the UPF Barcelona School of Management-Pompeu Fabra University , after studying abroad, returned to Nigeria to work in his family business of elevator manufacturing, where his entrepreneurial spirit helped make the company a sector leader in less than three years since its founding, securing large-scale national and international projects.
With his drive and international experience, Bankole took the company from 20 to 80 employees , all aged under 40.
As the famous Bishop Desmond Tutu rightly said”Before Nelson Mandela was arrested in 1962, he was an angry, relatively young man. He founded the ANC’s military wing. When he was released, he surprised everyone because he was talking about reconciliation and forgiveness and not about revenge.”
Even though he has everything at his disposal, Henrich Akomolafe Bankole continued to spend time with his people in Ekiti state for years. Giving them scholarships and empowering windows and orphans.
He was a link that brought in greatness to his people. He made sure they eschew Peace and reconcile whenever there was crisis among them. This gave him the name “Atunko”.
He once said he would only be a fulfilled man when the people of Ekiti state (Ikere) to be precise are taken out from the shackles of poverty.
Akomolafe who founded BNR Engineering, a construction company offering flexible payment plans and options such as digital currency never looked back even when his close associates told him to forget about his people as he already enjoys fame and fortune.
He’s not poor, he’s not a downtrodden, he’s not someone without a silver spoon. But yet, he never looked back in assisting those who are in need through his Henrich Akomolafe Initiative, aimed at creating a sustainable future for Africa through educating children and adults.
It was due to his efforts in bringing succour to his people that his constituents called on him to represent them in the national level(House of Representatives).
When asked if he would heed the clarion call by his people, he said, ” I’m only going to contest if my people find me worthy of representing them. And I will gladly obliged and give them the necessary development they deserve,”he responded.
It was gathered that Some of his kingsmen have already come together to purchase form for him to contest for Ekiti South-West Federal Constituency (Ikere/Ise) Orun LGA).
The mandate is to rebuild and reorganize his constituency to an international standard.
The trust from the people is overwhelming, just what he desires and certainly, he will not disappoint them when he gets there.
